Foster and Volunteer for save one soul

Fosters
Fostering saves lives. It really does. Without fosters, we could not help the dogs, and their futures would be questionable at best.

We often hear "I can't foster because I would get attached to all of the dogs". Guess what? That's ok. It's ok to get attached to the dogs. In fact, we want to treat the foster dogs like they're your own.

If you want to adopt the dog at the end, we can discuss. If you decide to let the dogs go to an adopter, we understand your heartache.

Letting a dog go is always emotional and a double edged sword, but the wonderful feeling of having saved the life of a dog outweighs the heartache. We have so many wonderful memories of our foster dogs. We wouldn't have these priceless memories, if we wouldn't have made the small sacrifice of letting go of a dog.

Fostering for Save One Soul requires that your own dogs are up-to-date on their vaccines and are on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. We ask that you take the foster dogs to their vet appointments to our vets in the Louisville, KY area. Save One Soul pays for the vet care, supplies, and other foster care expenses. When the dogs are ready for adoption, the fosters do have input as to the placement of the dogs.
